About Gemma Anslow

Gemma Anslow is a registered Counseling Psychologist, with 16 years of therapeutic experience. She developed a personal mindfulness practice when training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in 2005-6.

She subsequently trained as a teacher of MBSR/MBCT with Bangor University and has facilitated 8-week courses to women and men in custody, fellow psychologists and other adults since 2010.

She is a member of, and adheres to the standards set down by, the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland, including cultivating a daily personal practice, working with a trained Mindfulness Supervisor and regular attendance at  mindfulness trainings and residential retreats.

Her special interests include Mindfulness in prisons and Mindfulness and mental health

She has worked as a psychologist in prisons for 12 years.
