Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction/ Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy is an 8-week evidence based, experiential programme designed to provide participants with intensive and systematic training in mindfulness meditation and movement practices, and in integrating into one’s daily life what is discovered and learned through the process of participating in the program.
Research on mindfulness-based training consistently demonstrates positive outcomes associated with increased self-awareness, emotional and attention regulation; reduction in symptoms for various physical and behavioural health conditions including anxiety, depression and chronic pain; and positive changes in risk factors that may lead to more serious chronic ailments.

Erica has a background in Environmental Science and has worked in many areas including tourism and corporate marketing. Losing her mother to Breast Cancer and at the same time becoming a mother herself in 2006 led to a reconsidering of what is important and a retraining in mindfulness and psychotherapy. She completed her MBSR/MBCT teacher training through The Mindfulness Centre for Professional Training and since then has been offering mindfulness workshops, individual coaching and group training programs through her previous practice in Kilkenny, with The Mindfulness Centre, D2 and online. Erica recently completed a 9 month training in Mindful Communication and is committed to engaging her practice in dialogue to make deeper connections to life, one conversation at a time. From a very young age, Erica was a keen naruralist, particularly plants & ecology and believes very deeply about the importance of harnessing the empowering skills of mindfulness to take care of the world and each other. Erica adhere’s to the Irish Good Practice Guideline for Teaching Mindfulness and a registered member of The Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland.
